The Process

My goal as your designer is to make this process as easy as possible for you, to do the work you don’t want to be doing. I handle everything from creating a unique design concept and a functional layout, to ordering guest-friendly products and getting everything you need to run a successful 5-star STR!

  • 1: Initial Consultation

    Our process begins with an initial consultation where we talk about your goals, budget, and style preferences. This step ensures we fully understand your vision and can tailor the design to meet your needs and expectations.

  • 2: Design Concept

    You’ll receive 3 thoughtfully curated design concepts to choose from, each based off our initial consultation but with a different twist. Once we choose a concept that best aligns with your vision, I’ll start getting into the nitty gritty.

  • 3: Product Sourcing

    I carefully select furniture and decor pieces that are not only cohesive with the design concept but also practical and durable for guest comfort and functionality.

  • 4: Visual Design + Layout

    You will receive a detailed visual design and a functional layout for each room. This includes the selected products that have been sourced for each space.

  • 5: "Design Starter Kit" Implementation

    If you’ve chosen the "Design Starter Kit," this is where you’ll receive a comprehensive list of the furniture and decor recommendations, complete with direct links for effortless ordering and implementation.

  • 6: "5-Star Design Package" Implementation

    If you’ve chosen the “5-Star Design Package,” this is where you get to kick back and watch! I take care of every detail—from ordering and installation to staging—ensuring your space is perfectly prepared. The process is complete with a final walkthrough to ensure everything is flawless before professional photos are captured.

  • There are so many variables when it comes to design. That’s why each project will vary based on the size and detail of work. The Design Starter Kit will start at 3 weeks to complete, as it doesn’t require staging. The 5-Star Package and Design Refresh will take a minimum of 4 weeks, but may go longer if it is a bigger space, if there is any extra contracted work, or if product deliveries get delayed.

  • I’ve worked with all kinds of budgets and as the saying goes, the more you put into something, the more you will get out of it. And this really is true with design. If you have cheap beds, your guests might complain about that. If a room looks dark or empty, it’s not going to stop someone from scrolling past your listing. The more you put into the quality of the design, the more your listing will stand out in the market. That being said, I typically suggest a minimum average of $14/sq. ft. for furnishings.

  • As much or as little as you want! I’ve worked with both kinds of clients and I am happy to work with you and your vision. With every project we will be communicating with each other through the whole process so you are happy with the designs. You will see mood boards, design plans, room layouts, and product selections before any final decisions are made. On top of that, you will have access to all those files in one place so you can refer back to them at any point.  

  • Absolutely! I often work around existing furniture and/or decor to create fresh designs. As a designer, however, I will offer my professional advice. So if something isn’t working in the design, I may suggest other options.
